about

Born Rebel started from a simple idea:

Not everyone is meant to fit in.

Growing up, I’ve always been drawn to the people creating their own lane—the skaters, artists, musicians, athletes, designers, and everyday people who stayed true to themselves even when it would’ve been easier not to.

Born Rebel is a reflection of that mindset.

The name represents something bigger than clothing. It represents the decision to think independently, create freely, and move through life on your own terms. Being a rebel isn’t about causing chaos. It’s about having the courage to be yourself when the world would rather you be someone else.

Everything we create is influenced by the things that shaped us: Baltimore, sports, music, film, skateboarding, friendship, family, and the experiences that stay with you long after the moment has passed.

The number 94 appears throughout the brand because 1994 carries personal meaning. It’s the year my brother, Donta, was born. Through Born Rebel, that year lives on as a reminder of legacy, memory, and the people who continue to influence us even when they’re no longer here.

Many of our graphics, collections, and projects are built around the idea of preserving moments. A shirt can be more than a shirt. A flyer can be more than a flyer. An object can carry a story, a memory, or a feeling. That’s why you’ll often see references to archives, artifacts, events, and places that blur the line between reality and imagination.
